Connect360 is an initiative designed to reconnect Youth Council (YC) Alumni, over 50% of whom are currently dispersed across Europe and the USA for work or study. The project is led by C5+1 Youth Council alumna Kairylai Abdullaeva from Kyrgyzstan in collaboration with Oybek Turaev from Uzbekistan with mentorship support provided by the C5+1 Youth Council Alumni Coordinator Dilshod Norov from Tajikistan. This geographical separation has led to a significant disconnect from current Youth Council activities and members, causing a lack of awareness among alumni residing in the same foreign country. This disconnect hampers potential collaboration, networking, and mutual support opportunities, vital for professional, academic, and personal growth. The core issue stems from the absence of a centralized system to track and connect alumni globally. By developing an innovative, user-friendly global map representing at least 50% of Youth Council Alumni abroad, Connect360 aims to bridge this gap. The map will foster a tightly-knit global community, enriching the experiences of both alumni and current Youth Council members through enhanced interactive connections and support.
The C5+1 Youth Council (YC)brings together Central Asian youth from diverse backgrounds and leadership skills to drive positive change. This dynamic council includes students from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan, with eligibility extended to any university students residing in Bishkek. Operating primarily in English, the YC aims to develop a regional network of civically engaged, English-speaking youth leaders across Central Asia who work to advance C5+1 priorities.. Membership in the YC program is free, fostering an inclusive environment for aspiring leaders to collaborate and make a significant impact in their communities within the Central Asia region.
The C5+1 Youth Council program is administered by the American University of Central Asia with a grant from the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.
